About

The San Antonio Book Festival is a FREE, annual, daylong event that unites readers and writers in a celebration of ideas, books, libraries, and literary culture. Featuring more than 90 authors, the Festival offers programming for ALL AGES and draws thousands to downtown San Antonio at the Central Library & Southwest School of Art for author presentations, panel discussions, book sales and signings, children’s and teen activities, food trucks, and a vibrant marketplace. Author presentations are held indoors while outdoors the Festival grounds are active with book sales, signings, children’s story time, learning projects, family activities, and a zone for teens, “Geektown.” Founded in 2013, the San Antonio Book Festival is the signature program of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation.
