About

Please join us as the fourth speaker in the ARC of Ames and APL Speaker Series, Dr. Katy Swalwell of Iowa State University, takes us on a historical journey, learning about Iowans and the Civil Rights Movement in order to understand the roots of racism in the state and struggles for racial justice. This is a rare opportunity to learn about Iowa history related to social justice and diversity. As developing accomplices in solidarity with the racial justice movement, understanding our history and the context of Iowa as it is is key.
