About the Conference
CTTHC Conference 2017 is an educational conference for medical and mental health providers in Central Texas on providing empirically-informed and affirming healthcare services for the local transgender and gender non-binary community.
The conference will feature medical and mental health experts with specific training and expertise in transgender-specific services presenting on issues and competencies that are most relevant to our local community of service providers. CTTHC Conference 2017 will include:
Training and education regarding affirming and comprehensive medical care of transgender and gender non-binary persons of all ages.
Workshops on affirming practices that attend to the unique mental health considerations of transgender and gender non-binary people of all ages.
Training for administrative and support staff on best practices in transgender sensitivity.
Continuing education credits for medical and mental health providers across 13 different disciplines to those who participate in this training.
About Medical CEs

About Mental Health & Social Service CEs
Continuing education will be provided by the Texas HIV Connection, approved by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors, and the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals to provide continuing education to licensed professionals.
