About

Smoke From All The Friction - the newest creation from seasoned local performers Cam Gillette and Ina Carino. It blends traditional and underground cultures to create a fusion of dark pop, rock, and indie electronic that grabs listeners with both a sense of familiarity and a striking curiosity. Inspired by the ideas of tension and friction, they seek to explore what happens when we venture outside ourselves, past the abstract social constructs that create barriers between us. Instead of simply creating a musical performance for mere entertainment, they inspire a deeper, thought-provoking appreciation between the audience and the music itself.

They create a beautiful aural artwork, delicately painting a complex harmony in each note and showcasing how two conflicting forces, when embraced, can birth a creation - a truly unique piece of art - unattainable by the two sources on their own. This cutting-edge duo, drawing influence from top artists like Bjork, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Massive Attack, offers captivating vocals and a unique variety of musical styles that will leave you always wanting more.

The Band Sorelle - Sisters Toney-Paite and Skylar Phillips began taking guitar lessons at the young ages of eight and nine. Showing a love of music long before this the two were eager to learn the instrument. Two weeks later they had already written their first song and have been writing and playing music ever since. Rather than any one particular artist or group, their unique sound has developed based on a variety of musical styles and genres. Sorelle’s songs tell of life experiences and touch on deeper and occasionally darker themes than the typical love song fair which is so prevalent in music today. With unique harmonies and driving rhythms Sorelle’s non-traditional take on pop-folk music is sure to please!
