Georgia O'Keeffe Tour for Parents at Peabody Essex Museum
When?Start time: Friday 12:00pm (02 March)
End time: Friday 1:00pm (02 March)
Did you know Georgia O’Keeffe made her own clothes? Join us at the Peabody Essex Museum for a tour of the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibition. “O’Keeffe drew no line between the art she made and the life she lived,” said the curator of the exhibition Wanda Corn, and this becomes apparent in this special exhibition that-- for the first time-- features O’Keeffe’s art next to her wardrobe and opens our eyes to connections between the two.
The tour is about 45 minutes, geared towards adults, and welcomes hungry babies, crying babies, sleeping babies, and parents on maternity/ paternity leave, stay-at-home moms and dads, and any other caretakers.
After the tour, there will an optional/ informal gathering at the museum's cafe to discuss art, babies, and everything in between.
Advance registration is highly recommended as most museums have a strict tour capacity limit and priority will be given to those who registered in advance. If you are unable to attend after purchasing the ticket, just let us know and we will issue you a credit for another tour (we understand things never go exactly as planned when babies are involved!).
Please note that museum admission is not included in this ticket and will be due at the museum right before the tour.
