About

New England's long tradition of scary history has inspired writers from Nathaniel Hawthorne to H.P. Lovecraft to Stephen King, as well as Shirley Jackson, author of "The Lottery," and many others.
Join Faye Ringel to learn more about the dark side of our region's folklore, history and literature.
Ringel was the first to write a book on the New England Gothic. Presented by Faye Ringel, Professor Emeritus of Humanities, U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
