About

What was it REALLY like on the UWS in the 1970s? The "Wild West Side" was in full swing when award-winning architect and preservationist Joseph Pell Lombardi began restoring rundown buildings that had been carved up into SROs and tiny apartments back to single family homes. In houses along W. 71st and W. 74th on up to W. 88th Street, he looked past the shabbiness to find the original structure and beautiful historic detail. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see and hear the personal 1970s restoration recollections of one of the city's finest architectural preservationists!
