About

When Matthew Shepard's life was taken in 1998, the residents of Laramie reacted to the anti-gay hate crime and surrounding media storm with anger, bewilderment and sorrow. Their reactions were recorded by Moisés Kaufman and members of Tectonic Theater Project, and masterfully spun into a piece of theater as important today as it is relevant. "The Laramie Project" portrays the seismic and deeply personal impact Matthew's death had on the small town of Laramie, Wyoming, while also demonstrating the power of the human spirit to triumph over bigotry and violence. Join the Factory Theater in Chicago for their production of the profoundly affecting "The Laramie Project".
