About

Acclaimed Flamenco and Hybrid Dancer, Cihtli Ocampo performs at the Fountain Theatre on Nov. 9 and 10, 2017. Her dance background is rooted in the schools of Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, and George Balanchine. Ocampo also spent 11 years living in Seville, Spain studying and performing alongside many of Flamenco's most accomplished Gypsy dancers and singers.

'Voces' (Voices in English) features musical direction by guitarist, Ethan Margolis and is a journey through Spanish, American and Mexican vocal stylings by singers like Maiya Sykes, Stephanie Amaro, and Margolis himself. Flamenco percussion will be added by the incredible Luis de la Tota from Jerez de la Frontera and Venezuelan cajón virtuoso, Diego El Negro Alvarez.
